Path of Exile Item Upgrading
Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment by adding new attachments. They can also increase its base stats or add additional benefits. To upgrade item s, players must have the item in their inventory and access the kiln.
Usually objects with weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a stronger base, while objects with strong bases, such as eth titans aren't affected in their stats following being upgraded.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. They provide an attribute bonus, or an additional benefit, while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, gathered in loot, thrown away by enemies or as a reward from missions or chests. Some upgrades additionally have special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level to upgrade.
In order to upgrade the quality of a weapon or piece armor, the player has to choose it and click the Upgrade button located in the toolbar. item upgrade will appear on the right side of the screen, showing what the expected upgrade statistics will be and also the necessary component or material needed for the upgrade to take place.
There are three types of upgrade components: universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, like gems, are able to be used on any kind of equipment. They offer a lower bonus than upgrade components that are subject to a type restriction. Infusions are only placed in ascended gear or legendary equipment are similar to gems, but offer higher bonuses and are not able to be placed in any other kind of equipment. Suffix upgrades can be added to gathering tools. They will add the suffix to the end of the names of items. For instance adding a Glyph would make a Staff wrapping of Minor Vigor into a Canthan staff wrapping of Minor Vigor.
If a player upgrades a gathering tool, and then replaces glyphs with another glyph, the old one will be returned to their inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component will destroy it, excluding the inscriptions that can be swapped.

Leveling
The upgrade system in Path of Exile has some significant differences from earlier versions. Gear is now categorized in tracks and each item can be upgraded a certain number of times before it is "leveled out." The cost of upgrading is increased with each level however, the materials needed don't increase as much. This allows players to focus their efforts on a specific few items and maximize the effect of those items rather than spreading the cost of upgrades across several pieces.
When an item is finished being leveled in this way, it is able to receive a new set of upgrade components, as well as an increase in the probability that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is known as the Artisan's Energy and it is reset to 0 in the event of failure, or increases when the upgrade succeeds.
When a piece is upgraded to its maximum level, it can receive an affix to increase its capabilities. The number of affixes available is determined by the item's class. For instance, a rare or unique weapon that has a standard base will have no more than two affixes for it, whereas legendary armors can have up to eight affixes for it.
Each upgrade process requires a specific number of Flightstones or Crests, based on whether the item is at its current level and in what slot it is in. Typically, weapons require more Flightstones to upgrade than other kinds of equipment.
If an item fails to reach its max level, the NPC will give players the option to transfer it to another person and then re-infuse the item with an upgrade set that is different. This procedure can take as long as two hours and cost the same amount of material. However it has a lower rate of success.
Engineers will employ a level to compare the height of the building to a known location, such as an existing benchmark. This process is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the backsight rod and level, then turning the level and taking the foresight rod reading. This method makes sure that buildings are built to a high standard of accuracy and safety.
Rerolling
Rerolling refers to the process of altering an item's upgrade components. It is an essential element of the game that can increase an item's damage, strength or other attributes. You can do this through the item menu, or by pressing the Reroll button whenever you upgrade an item. Rerolling items can be expensive and should be used sparingly.
Reroll tokens are earned by recycling upgraded items. These tokens can be used to upgrade the original item or a similar item. item upgrading have an indicator that indicates the degree of upgrade. The rarity and the cost of upgrading an item will determine the level of filling.
In the past, certain upgrade items had priority affixes which made them easier to roll for than others. This meant that you would receive the stats that mattered most to your build more often than others. This included stats like the armor's total armour, thorns and the control impaired duration stats or the weapon's bonus attack speed and strike chance.
This has changed since the last patch. Priority affixes have been removed, and all upgrades have the same chance of rolling each statistic. This can be good or bad, based on what you want and need from your equipment.
Each upgraded item can come with a bonus that increases the item's power by a specific percentage or flat value. These bonuses are added to standard affixes. The more you upgrade your product, the better the chance of receiving a unique bonus.
The game also includes number sets that give the player a bonus if three or four upgraded items from the set are placed on an item. This is an excellent method to add a lot of power to a character without spending an excessive amount of money.
Many players have the habit of rerolling their weapons and gear particularly in the initial stages. This is because rerolling could give players a faster route to becoming a strong character and allows them to climb high tiers and progress the game faster.
Sets
Sets are collections that can be organized in different ways. They can be of different dimensions, have no elements, or contain one element. They can be used for organizing data or separating information. They can also be used for analyzing patterns. Sets can be classified in many ways, including size and shape.
There are a range of set items that can be upgraded in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some items are worth upgrading, while others aren't. Armor sets that provide high defense or set bonuses are usually worth upgrading. However, weapon upgrades often do not improve the quality of the item's stats when in comparison to their purple counterparts. This makes them less attractive to upgrade when your collection of armor and weapons pieces is already extensive.
Some set items are upgraded for their unique procs, which can be particularly useful in some builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are two examples of this. Both were upgraded from Exceptional Winged Helm and Exceptional Mirrored Boots respectively, increasing their defense by 217 to 321 (Strength requirement and Level requirement increased as well).
Upgrades can also be made to bring certain items to the level of the different tiers. The Immortal King Set, for instance, is a huge range of levels ranging from 29 to 75. Upgrades to lower level items can enhance their defense, and increase their competitiveness when it comes to damage.
Clicking the Upgrade button will display the attributes of the item as well as the necessary items needed to upgrade it. It will show the item's characteristics, as well as the necessary items required to upgrade it. For example the No-mouth face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials as well as 250 Enchanted Dust, and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Alternately, players can visit the Leaderboard or Golden vendor in Cyrodiil to find out the upgrade requirements for specific items.
In general, weapons and jewelry offer more value for trade when they are fully upgraded than armor. Particularly for weapons with damage glyphs that are spell-like or weapon-related upgrading them to gold is recommended as it will result in a significant improvement in their stats. The armor that has a new appearance will benefit from this upgrade as its defense value will increase when it goes from purple to gold.
